Thriving In Ministry Project

Dear Friends,
Here is a progress report regarding the planning for the “Thriving in Ministry: Leading with Compassion” project being sponsored by The Way of Compassion.
PROGRESS REPORT
Over the past week, many positive and encouraging conversations around the opportunity to support the “Thriving in Ministry: Leading with Compassion” project have taken place. Your prayers, input, and wise counsel, thus far, are appreciated and welcomed. I thank several persons who have already taken the time to specifically share with me, like: Jonathan Holloway, Mike Harmon, Treves Wilson, Gene Worline, Amy Worline, Kristi Cornett, Charlie Metcalf, Becky Moody, Arthur Kelly,Ruthie Williams, David Markle, Scott Seslar, Mark Nelson, Rachel Nelson, Karen Hayes, Frank Rogers, Mark Yaconelli, Fred Shively, Becky Bodey, Jeff Eastman, and the folks at UpperRoom. There are also many more who have sent messages via Facebook, text or email indicating a desire to get back with me with thoughts and possible interest. I look forward to those conversations real soon!
GREAT NEWS!
We now have three outstanding resource partners ready to cosponsor the project; two persons are willing to serve on a Board of Directors; and five pastors have signed up to be an "anchor" church.
CONTINUED NEED
I am still looking for a couple more “anchor” churches/pastors who are willing to write a letter of support as an "early supporter" of the project. Anchor church pastors have already found hope and resonance with the idea of the project and want to be "the first in line" once we receive positive news from the Lily Endowment in October of this year.
MOST CRITICAL NEED
Because the Way of Compassion is a young organization founded in 2017, we need another more mature organization to take us under their wing for this project. We are looking for another 501c Non-profit organization, preferably one incorporated in Indiana to be our “mother.” We need a “mother” church or organization to join us that has a history of supporting and training leaders for ministry. We need the supportive organization to handle the financial accountability piece that the Lily Endowment requires. We will budget resources to cover the overhead and personnel expenses needed for this important task. Please be in prayer about this specific need and let me know of any organization that might fit the description and have a heart for helping ministers Thrive.
